Mumtaz has an ISES LA Master of its Own

On Monday, November 12, 2012 The International Events Society (ISES) – Los Angeles, celebrated the 7th Annual Meet the Masters Event where our own President, Joella Hopkins, CSEP, CMP participated as one of the Masters in this special event industry. What an achievement! It was a sold out event where most attendees had a chance to exchange ideas, ask questions and get advice from all masters as they went around and sat at each table sharing their success stories. We are proud of Joella’s accomplishments which continue to make Mumtaz Marketing and Events (MME) grow bigger and bigger every day.

This year’s hot topics were the available Social Media tools to help to the success of business and How to achieve a healthy balance between work and family in the crazy Special Event Industry.  It was a fabulous night and full of insight.

Congratulations to all 2012 Masters!

Mumtaz brought “The Goonies” to Grand Park for LA Streetcar

We hope that you all had a joyful Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by good friends, good food and good fun! Took some time to relax and re-charge during this holiday to get ready for the busy end of year season. And just in case we don’t say this enough, THANK YOU for being such valued clients, for your business, friendship and for challenging us by demanding the best of us. We like it! We love being innovative and look forward to making the impossible happen. Let’s continue to be successful together!
On that note, here's a bit of a late blog post on our super cool event with LA Streetcar! It was a fun night! On Saturday, October 20, the amazing Mumtaz Marketing & Events team put together a great outdoor movie night and early Halloween celebration for LA Streetcar where hundreds of Downtown LA residents of all ages came by to enjoy the event. Who does not remember The Goonies? Grand Park was lively with such an action packed movie thanks to a great display by CommCinema along with other exciting activities like pumpkin painting and face painting for kids amazingly directed by the Mumtaz team. Attendees got to take pictures with crazy props.  We couldn’t have a movie night without great food including The Schmuck Truck, Cool Haus, Kiddo Kettle Korn, between others.
This opportunity served as the last chance to get possible Downtown resident voters to register and vote via mail towards the LA Streetcar project which will be on a ballot for them in November.
This fall has several events yet to come for the Mumtaz Marketing & Events team, stay tuned for more updates… see you soon!

It's Feria Time! Es El Momento: Educate!

What an extremely rewarding challenge! The fourth annual Es El Momento: Feria de EducaciĆ³n welcomed approximately 50,000 attendees for a journey into the opportunities that the California Education System have to offer... Key event partners included TV Network Univision, CSUDominguez Hills , Advancing America Foundation, and many more. We are proud to say that on the big day - October 13, 2012 - our Mumtaz Marketing & Events team arrived bright and early to pull off one of the most successful Feria events including the largest free book distribution west of the Mississippi! We helped give away over 65,000 books to families! The event was truly amazing!  Simultaneously, the Latino Book& Family Fair took place at the CSU Dominguez Hills Campus which was a perfect combination and a hit as the Educational Fair was aimed primarily towards the Latino community. We love Edward James Olmos' civic engagement.

To us - this photo explains why this event is produced... Our future is education and together our families have the ability to support our youth.
The event featured world class event production, coordination of live entertainment on two main stages, multiple workshops throughout the day, book giveaways, concessions, volunteer coordination of 350 in addition to managing over 150 exhibit booths represented by universities, community resource organizations and non-profit educational organizations and much more for both events.

We are thrilled to have played a key role in the production of such a fabulous event, providing a one of a kind opportunity for so many people to receive invaluable information on how to effectively navigate their way through the California educational system while encouraging families and their kids to fulfill their education by ultimately obtaining a college degree. Definitely an extraordinary event!
