Summer Fun Planning a Historical Family Reunion

On Saturday July 9th, the Simply Mumtaz team put on a reunion for a historical and influential California family. It was a beautiful day at the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum and was a very successful event. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a group of Mariachis as well as historical reenactors. The museum was open for tours and family members were able to learn about their heritage as well as look over the complete family tree.

There were a variety of activities for guests to participate in throughout the day. There was an adobe brick making station mimicking the adobe bricks made when Dominguez family recevied the Spanish Land Grant, a horseshoe pit, and a mural to paint with images of notable contributions the family has made to Southern California. Plan-It Interactive provided a variety of activities for both adults and children including a fun mining for gold activity! There was even a dunk tank! Is there anything more fun than dunking your family members? This was really fun because when we were in the planning stages of the event, we laughed and told our client - yes, let's get a dunk tank and we can DUNK you! Plus, it was a fun water game for the kids... So, low and behold he was a good sport! He got up and was ready - Joella got 3 tosses! 1 and a miss! 2 and ....LOL! Wet! It was great. We even gathered everyone for a family shot! It was like herding cats, but once it was - It came out great! It was a fun-filled day! Thanks to all of those who helped us put the event together! Go SME!
