Zev at Mumtaz' DTLA March Association Meeting

Mumtaz Marketing & Events started March contributing to the development of transportation in Downtown L.A. by organizing a very interesting presentation by Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky on March 7 at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). It is amazing to see the relentless business growth of Downtown L.A. throughout the past 15 years and continue to be part of this bloom while observing the impact it has powering our economy, specifically in Arts & Culture.  The number of people attracted to Downtown LA by large venues such as LA Live and Staples Center between many others has a strong impact on restaurant, hotels and other types businesses for which the development of transportation is necessary. New projects were presented and discussed during this meeting in order to facilitate the flow of people coming in and increase the business success even more during the next years to come.

So, we are very excited to have blown out the JW Marriott at LA LIVE this past week for the 16th Annual Treasures of Los Angeles Awards Luncheon. It was a lot of fun. We had a great team to put this baby together.

Our inspiration was the blue from the exterior of the new JW Marriott / Ritz building and the LEDs in Nokia Plaza. We tried to bring that outside nightime feeling into a square ballroom. But, we had to keep as much of the client's purple in the room... so we hit a good balance. We also had Andre Miripolsky update his iconic downtown LA (VIVA LA) skyline with Nokia Plaza, Grammy Museum, JW Marriott / Rtiz building... It ended up being our event backdrop! Everyone was raving about this amazing design, his actual work is amazing!

Thanks to our great team of vendors - J&M Entertainment for Technical Production, Mark Anthony Printing Service for Printing our Super Fab Tribute Journal, Gorgeous Event Signgage from Exhibit Graphics & AAA Flag & Banner, our "Green" centerpieces that everyone went bonkers for from Swedish Accents, Wildflower Linens for our perfect table linens, Chameleon Chair / Classic for our Chair Rentals, Dreamworld Backdrops for recreating the backdrop masterpiece, our Graphic Designers - Jahel on our team & David at Vonderland Studios.

We would be remissed if we didn't thank Milko Rivera at the JW Marriott, Martha Saucedo & Michael Roth at AEG, My gals - Jennifer K, Jennifer M, Michelle & Angie! We also have to thank our staff & volunteers, couldn't have pulled 9 months of work without you to execute!

Target Terrace at Grammy Museum - L.A. Live

So, if you haven't heard - At L.A. Live, Downtown LA, there is the Grammy Museum. This is an awesome. The Museum itself it totally rockin', but if you are looking for a wonderful event space to hold an interactive event - this is your place! Since there are no photos of the inside... I only took one of our meeting on the top floor - Target Terrace! Check out the view. We had a business lunch - catering was provided by Wolfgang Puck and the folks at the Grammy Museum were a breeze to work with! So, I highly recommend you get down to L.A. Live and check it out!
