Mumtaz brought “The Goonies” to Grand Park for LA Streetcar

We hope that you all had a joyful Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by good friends, good food and good fun! Took some time to relax and re-charge during this holiday to get ready for the busy end of year season. And just in case we don’t say this enough, THANK YOU for being such valued clients, for your business, friendship and for challenging us by demanding the best of us. We like it! We love being innovative and look forward to making the impossible happen. Let’s continue to be successful together!
On that note, here's a bit of a late blog post on our super cool event with LA Streetcar! It was a fun night! On Saturday, October 20, the amazing Mumtaz Marketing & Events team put together a great outdoor movie night and early Halloween celebration for LA Streetcar where hundreds of Downtown LA residents of all ages came by to enjoy the event. Who does not remember The Goonies? Grand Park was lively with such an action packed movie thanks to a great display by CommCinema along with other exciting activities like pumpkin painting and face painting for kids amazingly directed by the Mumtaz team. Attendees got to take pictures with crazy props.  We couldn’t have a movie night without great food including The Schmuck Truck, Cool Haus, Kiddo Kettle Korn, between others.
This opportunity served as the last chance to get possible Downtown resident voters to register and vote via mail towards the LA Streetcar project which will be on a ballot for them in November.
This fall has several events yet to come for the Mumtaz Marketing & Events team, stay tuned for more updates… see you soon!

Mumtaz does Taste of Streetcar!

So, this was one of the craziest and most fun events that we've recently planned - LA Streetcar's "Taste of Streetcar". Love our clients and partners in creating this event... So, here's a bunch of photos of the event. Bottom line - We were originally at a different location in Downtown LA - South Park and moved within 10 days to the Cooper Design Building in the Fashion District to being overwhelmed in RSVPs. We expected 300 - 400 and we have over 1500 RSVPs!!!! We had just under a 1000 at one time for this event. The purpose of the event was to educate downtown residence that they must be registered to vote in order to vote for the Streetcar. The Streetcar will have an incredible positive impact on Downtown and this event was all about awareness! So, we produced the Taste of Streetcar - all of the restaurants along the route or just off the proposed route got involved in showcasing their tasty fare for their customers - downtown residence.

It was an fantastic showing of over 19 restaurants that hand enough "tastes" for 1000 people! Just some of them were: 213 Revolution Nightly, Alma, Corkbar, Coronado’s Restaurant & Bar, Figaro Bistro, Industriel, Market, Mo Chica, The Standard, The Edison, Tiara Café, Two Boots Pizza, Pete’s Café, Mediterranean City Grill, Localita, Grand CentralMarket, Raw Bites, Umamicatessen
What a huge commitment! Thank You! AND, Thank You to everyone from the event team, committee, venue management, City representatives, and to each one of our team vendors who really pulled through! Whew! Thank you Emily Ivey! You really rocked it with these photos!

While loading these photos I'm going hmmm, what amazing food we had that night! Yum! If you haven't been to Downtown recently you really need to get down there!
