It's Feria Time! Es El Momento: Educate!

What an extremely rewarding challenge! The fourth annual Es El Momento: Feria de Educación welcomed approximately 50,000 attendees for a journey into the opportunities that the California Education System have to offer... Key event partners included TV Network Univision, CSUDominguez Hills , Advancing America Foundation, and many more. We are proud to say that on the big day - October 13, 2012 - our Mumtaz Marketing & Events team arrived bright and early to pull off one of the most successful Feria events including the largest free book distribution west of the Mississippi! We helped give away over 65,000 books to families! The event was truly amazing!  Simultaneously, the Latino Book& Family Fair took place at the CSU Dominguez Hills Campus which was a perfect combination and a hit as the Educational Fair was aimed primarily towards the Latino community. We love Edward James Olmos' civic engagement.

To us - this photo explains why this event is produced... Our future is education and together our families have the ability to support our youth.
The event featured world class event production, coordination of live entertainment on two main stages, multiple workshops throughout the day, book giveaways, concessions, volunteer coordination of 350 in addition to managing over 150 exhibit booths represented by universities, community resource organizations and non-profit educational organizations and much more for both events.

We are thrilled to have played a key role in the production of such a fabulous event, providing a one of a kind opportunity for so many people to receive invaluable information on how to effectively navigate their way through the California educational system while encouraging families and their kids to fulfill their education by ultimately obtaining a college degree. Definitely an extraordinary event!

Wow! It's all about the Let's Move California Fitness Feria

Hey everyone! Mumtaz Marketing & Events had the privledge of working the official launch of the Let's Move California campaign in conjunction with the Fitness Feria & the FAME Foundation. It was a fun filled day of activities for the local community from climbing a rock wall provided by the U.S. Army, Wolfgang Puck, White House Chef Sam Kass, Latino favorite Ingrid Hoffman giving healthy cooking demonstrations, Rugby, Basketball, Tennis, Cheer, Cycling, Taek Won Do interactive stations, Early Childhood focused activities, L.A. Sparks "Sparky" pics, and much more! Besides actual physical activities we also provided community members information both in Spanish and English related to living an active and healthy life.

Sylvia Acevedo (Commissioner on the President's Advisory Commission on Education Excellence for Hispanics) with other event organizers cut the ribbon to open the event...
Hundreds of soccer and basketballs were given to those that completed their event passports!
Watching kids tumble for the first time was exciting... Especially watching their eyes light up as they realized they could roll or do a front roll.

Dominguez Centennial Aviation Day!

Simply Mumtaz Events, Inc. was honored to produce the Dominguez Centennial Aviation Day commemorating 100 years since the 1910 Air Meet that was held on Dominguez grounds and was a major catalyst for Aviation internationally and Southern California. If you don't know about the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum - please check them out. It's a California Historical Landmark and a non-profit org. They need your support to continue to bring California History to our community.
OK, so into the good stuff! Here's all that we had to celebrate. It was really a fun filled day with lots of great activities.

A special shout out goes to Carter Clark and Cliff Heathcoat for helping us! We could not have done this event with out both of you. THANK YOU!

Next, we had some amazing folks coming out to showcase their planes and automobiles! Special Thanks to the Western Museum of Flight and the Model T & A Clubs of Long Beach. Check out these amazing shots! We had models, a Bleriot replica, 1970's BD-5, 1940's Radioplane RP-5 Drone and much more!

We also had a lot of kids activities and fun food! Kogi BBQ, World Famous Tommy Burger, Funnel Cakes, Snow Cones, Pizza, Robins BBQ, and Lemonade... Ferris Wheel, Coloring Station, Soapbox Derby Display and Sid the Science Kid from PBS!

In addition to all of the fun activities - we have to say thanks to all of our event sponsors and elected officials that came out to support the event! In particular to our keynote speakers - Bob Gilliland, Legendary Aerospace Test Pilot & California State Librarian Stacey Aldrich.

Also to Clear Channel for helping us advertise the event to the local community - seen below off the 91 Freeway, exiting to the Dominguez Rancho. Plus, all of our community / organization partners - thank you!
